Piper and Max Bitel Greene's
sports lawyers have helped put in place one of the
highest profile sports sponsorships in the UK. Virgin
will be title sponsor of the London Marathon
from the period after the 2009 event until at least
2014. The sponsorship will see the annual race being
known as the Virgin London Marathon. Virgin’s
sponsorship extends to the associated wheelchair and
mini-marathons. continue |

Nick
Bitel and Louise Roberts
acted for the victorious Ryder Cup 2006 team. They
have represented and continue to represent professional
tennis players in connection with disciplinary proceedings
brought by the ITF as a result of players testing
positive for banned substances in various competitions. |

In
the Chambers UK 2005-2006 entry Nick Bitel is listed
as “one of the best sports lawyers in Britain”
and is described as “an incredibly commercial
lawyer who always talks sense” and is placed
joint third. Max Bitel Greene has been placed joint
fourth of the top sports law firms (above large firms
such as Simmons & Simmons and Addleshaw Goddard).
These rankings are made on merit assessed by fellow
professionals within the law. |
