The
firm is located in a historic 18th century Grade
II listed building in Canonbury which was once
the home of Sir Basil Spence - the architect
of Coventry Cathedral. A sapling, gifted in
his honour by Sir Winston Churchill is now an
imposing tree which stands proudly in the grounds. |
The
firm was founded in 1954 by Max Bitel who celebrated
50 years as a solicitor in March 1998. John
Greene joined him shortly afterwards and they
enjoyed over 35 years in partnership until John
Greene became Consultant Partner in July 1998
and practised until his untimely death at the
beginning of August 2003. Sadly Max Bitel passed
away in August 2007 at the age of 88. |
The
Managing Partner, Ean Reid, has been with the
firm for over 40 years and Roger Butler has
now recorded over 30 years. |
Nick
Bitel, highly experienced in commercial work,
is now recognised as one of the country's leading
sports lawyers. |
|
|
|
Using
this wealth of experience, the firm has continued
to expand with new lawyers undertaking increasingly
specialised areas of work. Max Bitel Greene is
a dynamic firm equipped to deal with the fast
pace of modern law. |
